Your Vision And Your Vision Board

Visualize Your Future With A Vision Board

One of the most important things you can do when it comes to creating a clear picture of what you want is creating a Vision Board.  When Lisa Torres decided to create hers back in 2011 and by the end of 2012 she had completed almost all of the goals that she had set forth. You have 365 days to make whatever vision you want and make it happen.

The people that create these and when people create them normally make it for projections in the future 5 to 10 years off but I am telling you to make your board for the current year.

Lisa made and checked off everything off her vision she wanted to in under 5 years. Whatever you don’t achieve in the year you will roll over to the next year. For Lisa, she has her dream car and her custom dream home built and eventually, she got it.  Whatever you put on your board for this year does not mean you are going to achieve it you can roll it over to the next year. Keep it up and consistently keep it up in front of you.

The goal is to keep that vision board in front of you and constantly tweak and update.

Here are 6 things you can do to tweak and make your vision board come true.

  1. Do a brain dump do every goal you want to achieve for this year, not next year. ” Do you want to hit x amount of dollars?” You need to be specifically clear … how clear?  You are going to break it down the year goals into monthly steps. You are going to have categories that are specific to you i.e  Health, wellness, finically and relationship etc…
  2. Find pictures that represent those or symbolize it and what it means. You need to make this as realistic as possible.  This is the future you want to create and want and you want to knock off as many as possible off that board as possible. Put a picture of yourself in the middle of the board because it is you.
  3. You have a bag and basket of all these pictures you are going to get a board and put it on and feel and touch.
  4. Keep it neat and keep it uncluttered and keep it as attainable as possible. Keep it in a way that you can see yes that is doable in the next 12 months.
  5. Write the words, affirmations quotes in your own words. Don’t cut out them write it in your own handwriting. Use colorful markers make it fun.
  6. Take a few moments when you are done for the year you are going to take a few moments because you might be tweaking it and always have it in your face and look at it before you go to bed.

Creating Your Second Vision Board

Now that you have created your vision board for the year now you can create a second one. This one does not to be as big. It can be a document or such and create it as detailed it as you want. Do this every month write the month in the middle so January 2018 then point arrows to categories. Business, career and put 3 goals you want to achieve underneath them. If it is health & wellness then you want to put the category and put 3 goals under that. Knock it out for that month.

It’s one thing to look at your vision board every day when you wake up or before you go to sleep now you need to have a roadmap or pathway to get there. Break it down into monthly actionable steps.  Remember you list 3 and only three.

You are at the bottom of the staircase and you want to get to the top. Let’s see how far you get in a single jump. You need to take it one step at a time. Small victories will lead to larger ones, one step at a time.
